If you’re like most people I know, you have some level of desire to share video content on social media, with the objective of building your brand and growing your business.
But you feel stuck.
Scared to death of getting on camera.
Unsure of what to say.
Self-conscious of what people might think.
Feeling like an imposter. Like, ‘who am I to be on video on social media?’
No idea what equipment to use.
How do I even find the time?
And so on…
These are the things my team and I hear DAILY from contractors.
Although I’m not able to answer all of these questions in depth in one post...

- Find a local videographer who can work every week for you.
- If you’re smaller or just starting out, maybe this person gives you 10 hours a week.
- If you’re more established, this might be a full time, in-house videographer, as several of our clients have.
- The good news is that this person can grow as you grow. No problem.
- All you have to do is make a post on social media announcing that you’re looking for someone.
- Post on your profiles. Post in the local Facebook groups. Reach out to your local network.
- You can also contact local high schools and or universities.
I have hired paid interns who were high school and college students, and it worked out great.
There are a ton of young people who already have the equipment, the expertise, and the passion - and they’re looking for real world experience, money, and to be a part of something.
Having a dedicated videographer, whether it’s part-time or full-time, gives you the structure and the accountability you need to do video content consistently.
It’s a simple step that has a profound effect on your business. I recommend that EVERY business have a dedicated video person.
Consistent, quality video content is a MASSIVE DIFFERENTIATOR for any business. Make it happen.
